Friday

lazy late
October rays
graze the grass
in golden teeth
in jaged shadow
deep greens
final
low hooray
commences
still
tree tops
silver
bark
and branch
shiver
in their cool, wet nights
warm in day
and darkened patches
now light fading
now light slicing
halving
reeling
setting
painting
glowing
fading
dying
aching
where then?
